Web Content Officer (IDC)
Responsible for supporting the Content Strategy Specialist in establishing working relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure all content meets the prescribed brand/voice guidelines and supports site strategic objectives, including improving conversion and retention rates. This role will work closely with both the Marketing and Development teams on the design and maintenance of content including the management of all rich media and messaging to ensure all web development and online marketing campaigns are implemented successfully across various platforms.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Activities
1. Responsible for the creation / acquisition of all online content - including plain text, links, database content, still images (illustrations, photographs, diagrams), animation, audio, video.
2. Responsible for acquiring necessary translations, proof-reading content and updating the web and mobile sites via the content management system.
3. Implement and manage written content for all customer facing sites, ensuring accuracy, relevancy, and consistency with brand message; while maintaining a focus on the customer's needs.
4. Create and maintain web page meta tags (title, key words, descriptions) and copy in support of search engine optimization efforts, ensuring efforts are aligned with site taxonomy.
5. Develop and maintain all site content documentation including all site assets, content manifests, and content owners.
6. Work with e-Commerce Marketing team to effectively implement content for new promotions and products as needed. Work with Digital Marketing team to monitor results in top search engines, identify, and implement improvements where appropriate; check for broken links or initiate small analytical programs that examine site content in the format of keyword density, number of words per page and content friendly search engine words.
7. Liaise with Business units, PR, Brand and Advertising, Customer Experience, e-Commerce Marketing, Commercial Managers, Revenue/ Pricing for content updates.
8. Monitor site content, maintain time-sensitive material, menus, indexes and directories within the site and ensure information displayed on the website is accurate and current.
9. Work with the User Experience team to plan and execute variant tests including content updates, image placement, personalisation, localisation and content mapping to improve the efficiencies of online campaigns and website conversion
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE/ KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Minimum Qualification
• A university degree in business or technology
• Training in digital copywriting is advantageous
• Excellent verbal and written skills in Arabic / Russian or English
Experience
• 3 years of experience within an agency or in a corporate environment managing web content or other editorial experience.
• Experience with content management systems like Tridion, Umbraco, Sitecore and customer solutions.
• Proven web content experience and continuous process management
• Experience in managing digital content
Knowledge / Skills
• Knowledge of website management, including content management system experience.An understanding of website architecture is preferred.
• Ability to work in a high volume environment with tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience in Photoshop and other photo editing tools
